NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

WEALDEN DISTRICT COUNCIL

WEALDEN DISTRICT CHIDDINGLY5 PART

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2017

 

This order, made on 7 December 2017 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of the public footpath known as Chiddingly 5 running" from point A (junction with public highway Stonehill) in a south-easterly direction for approximately 170 metres to point B: to a new line running from point C (new junction with public highway Stonehill) in a north-easterly direction for approximately 7 metres to point D and then in a south-easterly direction for approximately 40 metres to point E and then in a south-easterly direction for approximately 30 metres to point F and then in an south-easterly direction for approximately 110 metres to the aforesaid point B, as shown on the Order map.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Wealden District Council Offices, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex BN27 2AX between 8.30am and 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Copies of the Order and map may be obtained there at no cost.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Engineer and Countryside Officer, Wealden District Council, Council Offices. Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex BN27 2AX not later than 16 February 2018. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn the Wealden District Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
