While individuals and families are on self-isolation they may need assistance from those who are not.
Chiddingly Parish Council is setting up a scheme to put volunteers in touch with those who need assistance.
Volunteers who are willing and able should email their details, name and email address, to email@example.com
People who need assistance should email their details, name, address, email address (if they have one), and phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate how they would prefer to be contacted, by email or phone.
Mike Goss, who is running the scheme on behalf of the Parish Council, will send regular bulletins with brief details (such as "Someone in Muddles Green needs medicine collected from Hailsham") to the volunteers by email. When a volunteer responds they will be given full details and asked to make contact.
In this way the name and details of those requesting help will only ever be known to the volunteer helping and Mike Goss.
Please be aware that many of those most in need of help may not see this or other announcements, so please talk to your friends and neighbours and be prepared to send messages to email@example.com on their behalf.
A Facebook Group is also being set up. Details to follow.
